There is a black plastic switch where the blade is slid into the jigsaw. The black plastic switch can be seen and accessed from the front of the jigsaw through the clear plastic sight guide...You pull the black switch toward the bottom of the jigsaw and it opens the space for the blade to slide into, when you release the switch it will close the space and lock the blade into place.

Hope this helps.

The size and type will depend on your needs when cutting. Fortunately, this model can use both T- and U-shank blades.

My personal preference if for the T style as i find they hold better.

use this picture and info as a guide. When you go to hardware store look for a combo set for metal and wood.
metalworking will have fine teeth, woodworking will have larger teeth.

At this above website you can get exploded diagrams and spare parts for this unit.
If your Chainsaw has a number on it please use that model Number to search for your exact make & model, also you may be able to, using the same method, & model number, search the net for a service manual, this will be invaluable.

Sounds like the axle is stripped out. Does the motor keep running or does it stop also? you may want to strip it down and see if there is a flat spot on the axle that may be rounded off or if there is a setscrew missing.

SOURCE: How do i lock

Almost all circular saws have a button or lever you push in to lock the motor shaft. You will have to hold that button or lever in while you turn the shaft, there will be one certain spot where it will lock.
