The default user name and password are both 'admin'. If you changed the password and don't remember what you used you'll have to reset the router. You can do this by pressing the reset button on the back of the router. Then log into using the default username and password at http://192.168.1.1. You can then make the changes that you need.

Welcome to Fixya. If you need the secure the router you need to access the Wireless Settings Page.
To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1, the Default username is blank and the password is admin. Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key or Wep Key. The Network Key or Wep Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. if you dont know tghe password you have to reset the password to its factory setting and that way the password gone also, at the back of the router there is small button for reset press that one and it will reset.

The default username and password are as follows:
username: (leave blank)
password: admin
If that doesn't work, you can factory restore the router by doing the following:
1. Unplug the router
2. Hold in the reset button for 30 seconds
3. Plug the router back in and continue holding in the reset button for another 30 seconds
Note that this will reset all of your router's settings to default and you will lose any of the stored settings you have, but it will reset the password to the default I listed above. Hope this helps!

Depending on the type of router, you could have various defaults set, if you never changed them.
You can press the reset button somewhere located on the router itself, using a pen/pin/pencil, and then google your brand of router asking what the default password is.
If it is a Linksys, you could google "Linksys default password" or "Linksys default login" for example.
