Hard Disk Problem

Hi again,

Hoping for a help form someone that can help me with my problem here.
My hard disk could not be detect in windows.

1. The hard disk is detected and appear in BIOS
2. In windows, the hard disk dissappear. When clicking at safely remove (system tray) hardware, the device is there and can be stopped
3. Already check at disk management, the drive did not appear
4. Already try with other computer, the same problems occurs and still cannot be detected.

Hope someone can help me with this problem as my data still in the hard disk

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the help, i tried the tools, seems that still cannot find the drive. For addition, the drive is external hard disk with USB extension and with 40GB Quantum IDE drives

Hi I have aproblem of hd. I lost 10 HDD the most of them are from seagat Maxtor and western digital; What is wrong with these manufactrors?
The problem hapen after formating, re install win xp. often I get the message Operating system not found. NDTRL ....something like that

May the problem is the bus, or the sloteK?
or may the cause is jumper positions?
or simply that HDD is dead, and it the case how to fix it?

Please need a help, thank you

Hi,

first download and install Drive Rescue . Click on Find lost drive, select the drive you miss and click "find logical drives". Now you should access all of your files. Save them to another drive and format the hard disk.
