My imput button on my tv remote for my Disney princess tv doesn't work. How do I switch the imput to watch Dvds if the imput button doesn't work?

I have the Disney model that you posted on the bottom. With the gold crown. I don't know if thata the 1st or 2nd one but it the pic with the small gold crown. I did try the big button in the middle and if doesn't have an imput option in the menu.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

I went to through the channels and it goes from 2-61 with no input option.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

It's not a black button but it looks like a sensor for the remote. I tried pressing it and it does nothing.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

There is no input selection in preset. It gives me four options in preset. They are skip, reception, memorize channels, and full scan.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

I'm doing the full scan now. I'm beginining to think this tv is ****!

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

Ok. I will try that. I'll let you know if that works. Thanks again. :)

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

Ok thanks for letting me know. I will definitely let you know how it goes. And thank you again for all your help!

  • Anonymous Apr 22, 2011

It's code entry. Will it make a difference?

  • Anonymous Apr 22, 2011

I didn't get a chance yet to try the codes you gave me. I will let you know the outcome. Thanks again!

  • Anonymous Apr 26, 2011

Hi I'm still having problems with the universal remote. I can't use the Disney codes you gave me because it needs 5 digits and the codes you gave me are 4 digits. I also tried the Memorex code and that was 5 digits and that still didn't work. What else can I try?

  • Anonymous Apr 26, 2011

The 10463 code I tried already and a few of the other codes you gave me cause they were listed under Memorex on the paper from the universal remote and it didn't work. But theres a few codes you just gave me that weren't on that paper so I will try those. I'll let you know the outcome. Wish me luck! :) Thanks again.

Hello,
If the input button on your remote is malfunctioning you can still change the input from the TV. There is a white panel on the bottom front of the TV with 4 buttons. The button on the far left side of that white panel is the input button. Press that to toggle to your inputs.

Hi tony, I checked the button on the far left and it only gives me channels everytime I press it. I know disney has the princess tv with built in dvd but I have the tv and dvd separate. Does that make a difference on where to find the imput button? Thanks!

OK, yes this does help me a bit. On the far far left is a power button. One button to the right (a stand alone white button) should be your input button. There are several models. Should this not be correct then please provide me the model # off the back so I can further assist.

Is your TV the first 1 or the 2nd one?

Rather than post the same question a bunch of times if you respond to my input it can be figured out. There are a couple models. I posted the pics of the two models. One model I gave you the solution too. If it is the other model then you will have to access the inputs through the menu button which is the big button in the middle.

Hmmm, can you please tell me what the TV screen says when you press menu? What options does it give you? Does it give you the option to scroll down or is it one option per press of the menu button? Sometimes you have to "hunt" for the input options.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

The reason I ask is because it is rare for newer model TV's to have inputs on them and not have a way to access the inputs through the menu option because buttons that are pushed a lot on remotes go bad, like an input button would. Although I don't have the menu memorized I do a lot of TV work and could possible help guide you to where the input selection might be.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

Often times by scrolling through the channels on the TV itself, not the cable or satellite, you will come upon the input selections. Either at the lower end or the upper end of the channel selections.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

Ok the menu button gives me three options which are picture, preset, and set up. So where could input be on those options. I even pressed the down arrows on each option to look for input and I couldn't find imput. Thanks for helping me out.

OK there are 4 buttons on the panel. Just a tad to the left of the panel and down a bit. Is there a black button there too?

  • Iron

Where the black line is pointing too

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

If that is not it what options to you have in your "preset" area of the menu? Perhaps if you have not "preset" an input to show up you will not get it through a general scrolling through your channels. Can you go through your preset options and see if an input option is there.

This has 1 input? Sometimes channel 00 can be the input. Have you performed a fulls scan yet? If not try that real quick. Watch as it goes through the channels to see if it scans through an input and if so when.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

If 00 is not an input, 91 has been known to be an RCA input channel (your TV is an RCA, it may be some random upper channel you physically have to enter on the remote itself. A lot of RCA TV's are like that.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

RCA used a lot of the "90's" channels. Try them all.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

Make sure when trying channel 00 or the 90.s channel you are using your remote to do this. Sometimes you have to go into the menu to the presets and "label" a channel as an input. There is a way to get to the input. We just have to find it.

I seem to be having problems with the remote. Not all the buttons are working. What should I do?

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

Well, if the number buttons are giving you trouble then I might suggest getting a universal remote. Often times you can get one for under $5 at your local hardware store or department store. If you have a local dollar store you might be able to get one for $1.

If you have not replaced the batteries replace them. If using fresh rechargeable batteries try some different ones. Sometimes rechargeable batteries don't hold a charge so well. I have had this happen. Have you put new batteries in the remote?

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

The fact that all of the sudden multiple buttons are not working is making me curious. This is uncommon.Have you tried fresh batteries? Try a different set of fresh batteries even if you just changed them just to rule that out. Let me know.

  • Anonymous Apr 17, 2011

Hi I did change the batteries already cause that's what I thought was the problem when I first tried pressing the input button in the beginning and it wasn't working. I didn't realize not all the buttons were working until you told me to try a full scan by using the remote. Also I read online other people have bought universal remotes cause they had lost their remote and they had no luck. Sorry for all this but I thank you for helping me out.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

No worries. Not every solution can be solved with a couple paragraphs :) Yea, a universal remote would be my suggestion at this time. I just like to try everything out before suggesting someone spend money on a new remote. Make sure to to write down this model Princess TV model #4A78631B to make sue you get a remote that is compatible. Some remotes cover it all but some will have a list. That model # will insure you don't have to return the remote.

    Your welcome :)

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 17, 2011

Also the original model# I gave was a serial # the model# for your TV is # P1300NTV. I have read a lot on the remotes for these. Many have said the dollar store ones work. Make sure the remote has an actual "input" button though. That is important. TV is a Memorex but that don't make much difference when getting a remote. Many universals have a "Disney" code they can search for. I have a list of several codes that have worked for universal Disney remotes. So if you get a remote and the code don't work let me know and I will track it down for you. I searched E-bay and at the time only a remote for the other model is up for sell.

  • Anonymous Apr 22, 2011

Hi Tony I bought a RCA universal remote from Best buy and it listed Disney on the package but when I opened it was a Disney code for the dvd player and I need the code for the tv so I can use the input button. I know you mentioned you have codes for Disney so can you help me. Thanks!

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 22, 2011

You bet. Let me grab them right quick.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 22, 2011

Try these and let me know -

        0180

        6131

        8910

        0463

        0171

        0178

        0091

        0008

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 22, 2011

Also, does this remote have a "channel search" mode on it? Or is it code entry only?

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 22, 2011

Not really, a scanning one will scan for the codes and code entry you put in the codes. Did you get the reply with the codes? Also try the Memorex TV code on the list you have.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 22, 2011

    Ok, Your Welcome :)

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 26, 2011

    Try these - 10154, 10463, 10150, 10178,10016, 10106, 10179, 10877,11911,11926

I wondered if they were the 4 or 5 digit codes.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 26, 2011

10463 seems to be the most popular code for the Princess TV but check them all should that one fail.

  • Iron
    Iron Apr 26, 2011

10171 and 10463 are a couple more you can try.

Let me know if they work 10171, and 10463.

I wish you bunches of luck lol :)

  • Salena_soren Oct 22, 2011

Hi, I have the one on the very bottom. There isn't anywhere on the tv menu to change the input. Any suggestions?

  • Salena_soren Oct 22, 2011

I don't have a remote for mine as I bought it used from a garage sale. I cannot change the input from the front of the tv. If I buy a universal remote, will that fix the problem?
