Ha this is the same problem i had just last week at a customers house with the same machine , the knob does pull off but it is hellish tight and you feel like the valve is about to burst through the front of the machine but it does pull off, when fitting the new knob it is a good idea to put some grease over the shaft before pushing the new knob on as it's nearly as hard pushing the new one back on as taking the old one off.

regards

Ian

I just tried what you recommended. It works. I used olive oil as a lubricant. Vera

Ok what about the other knobs, the rotary knobs, do those pop out too or do those have to come off with the front panel? Im trying to access the grinder on this machine so i can clean it. Please help.

Yes thanks for tip. It popped right off as you said. In the off position I first used a flat head screw driver to pry the knob out gently. The you can pull the knob right off with your fingers. I thought I was going to break off the joining spindle but it too moves out slightly as you pull on the knob. I used cooking oil to lubricate the shaft. Making sure the little notch is aligned with the knob and shaft, you can push it back in place.
