If the error message persists after powercycling the printer, then it needs to be serviced. If you are able to work on printers try this:

Dev. Home error can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot.

The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on - only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.

How do i fix the error code f2-00 in AR-M351N copier

HI,

I assume you ran 25-02 when you changed the dev?, if not you will have to replace it again.

Check to make sure you have drive to the dev box, slide out dev box and rub your finger along mag roll and run it up, remove again and see if the dev has returned.

If it is a high mileage machine, you can get problems with the dev drive, the box itself or the toner sensor.

Cheers

Andy

Deve home sensor error

You could try replacing the Image Unit (but these are quite expensive). This error actually refers to an optical sensor located in the gearbox (RHS of machine). The sensor controls the drive to the individual dev units, hence the "dev home error" if it malfunctions.
Probably a job for an engineer.....

Samsung CLP-315 Dev Home error
It appears that the Dev. Home error is very common for Samsung printers. It obviously has different reasons. In my case I solved it by stabilizing the deviation clutch. It was too unsteady and the dev. sensor recognized a fault.
The dev. clutch is situated under the right cover, which is the power supply side of the printer. To remove this cover you need to firstly remove the top cover, which is held by two screws on the front. Then uncover the right side by unscrewing one screw on the back, near the power supply inlet and unclip a couple clips on the top side of the cover. After removing it you have to find the deviation electrical clutch. Check if it is too unsteady. If it easily moves, you need to somehow stabilize it, in my case by a couple of leather straps under it, so that they press it up and make it steady: 5_19_2012_1_08_58_pm.jpg

After that simply check if you have stabilized it properly. If you have the green light must turn on after switching the device on.

NB! Be extremely careful when power is ON, because there is high voltage running. I'd suggest that you would stabilize the thing with non metallic item to keep safe. Good luck!

JFS224 change drive order

You need to get into bios to change the boot order. You can usually get into bios by tapping F12, esc, or whatever depending on who wrote your bios. Once you get into bios, you should see something like change boot order somewhere. If you don't know where it is then just keep scanning each page and you will find it. It will be called something "boot order". Use the directions on screen to change it to whatever drive you desire and you should be good to go. If you can't do it then write back and let me know.

CLC 1180 with error E020 with sub 0124

Did you change the Magenta stater/ developer? A E020 code is saying that the toner desity is low. Try replasing the developer and run the ATDC for Megenta and see if that helps. You may have a problem with the developing ass'y it self. You may be able to take another colors dev. ass'y with the hopper open and see if the code goes away. The sub code 0124 means that it is the Magenta dev. ass'y

What is service code 527

The sensor under the photo conductor unit mounted on the metal bar is out of line and does not detect the dev unit in home position. Usually adjusting the sensor toward the dev fixes the issue.
