Normally ghosting is caused by a bad fuser. Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1) Print something. As the paper gets 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover.. Look at the paper. If there is no ghosting, the fuser is bad. If there is ghosting, could be a cartridge drum. Follow these steps print a Print quality troubleshooting page to identify which print cartridge is causing the issue. Open Toolbox . Click the Help folder, and then click the Troubleshooting page. Click Print , to print the page. The page prints five bands of color, which are divided into four overlapping sections.
