In order to scan with the that printer you must use the software provided with it.
You may have an item on your desktop labeled EPSON Scan, but if you do not then you will need to go to Start > All Programs or Programs > EPSON > EPSON Scan > EPSON Scan.
If you still have difficulties you can refer to the manual online here.

Yes it have scanner on your printer but to use you need to do from your pc and go to users options and there you can see to use.

download Epson resetter http://tricks-collections.com/software-epson-resetter-t10-and-tx100/
then reset the ink counter. that should remove the general error warning.
