Hello I bought the smc router, 150 mbps wireless-n mini 3g broadband router a month back, since i have a 3g usb e-stick internet from tata docomo, it was working fine till yesterday, but since yesterday it is not detecting the usb internet e - stick. The tata docomo e-stick is working directly through my laptop, but is not working via the smc router. Please help!!!

Connect modem to the internet port of the wrt54g
Connect pc to port 2 of the wrt54g
Reset the wrt54g, push reset button for 30seconds with the power on, uplug the power for 10 seconds
Open internet explorer, type 192.168.1.1, you will be asked to login, no username, password is admin. This will take you to the router page. On the page you will se AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION DHCP, change that to PPPOe, enter your broadband username and password. Click save settings at the buttom of the page. YOU WILL ONLY GET CONNECTION IF YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD IS CORRECT.

Hi,

Please note that the USB Modem will not cause issues related to IP address conflict(NAT behing NAT)
You need to mak sure that the USB modem is compatible with this router. As per the compatibility list this modem is comaptible.

Please reset the router once and then upgrade the firmware on the router which can be downloaded from thelink below:

after upgrading the firmware, configure the router.
