I just had a problem with my Macair trackpad, where i can't either clikc or duble click on the pad itself however i still can use the pad to move my files and brows and i use the buttons to click. However, is that a hardware defect or is it a software defect that can be solved. Thanks Ali

    does your macbook air have a button at the bottom, or is the whole trackpad the button?

    what do you mean by click? do you mean a tap or a click?

Under the Apple Menu go to System Preferences, select Trackpad and check the settings.
