You don't need to do anything at the printer. How is your computer connected to the printer? Most reliable method would be a USB printer cable. Do you have a driver for the printer installed on your computer? It should have come with the printer on a disk. Otherwise you can go to the Brother website, click on Support and find a driver for your computer. When the driver is installed and the printer is properly connected, the printer should show up as a selection when you click "Print" on a document on your computer.
It sounds like an issue with your "printer settings" on your computer. Go to control panel, printers and faxes, right click, then printing preferences, this should take you where you want to go.
If you want to install the said photocopier with the computer, you just need to specify what is the model of the photocopier, it is easy to find the driver if the model is given...
just give the model and i will help you find the drivers.
cheers!!
If the print has horizontal lines of 'missing print' do three head cleqans don't move the printer or switch it off, now leave it overnight - letting the head soak in fresh ink- in the morning, do one more head clean and then print the nozzle check. If it's poor photocopying it is most probably because the print quality for photocopy is set to a low setting. The manual will explain how to change photocopy print quality. Hope this helps
Make sure you don't have a scratch on the glass of the scanner. If you have a mark, or scratch that matches the line ruled on your print, then there is your problem.
It;s also possible the scanner is jerking as it goes across the bed, which is causing the line. Is the line solid, dashed, bold, thin or just kinda there?
You might be running low on black ink and it's not an item when you print from your computer because the settings you are calling for are different. The computer asks you if you want to print normal...to best, etc.
