Unstall shock wave plugin

  • Control Panel
  • Add/Remove Programs
  • Find Shockwave for Director ' not flash' and uninstall it. If you have an "ActiveX" and a "plugin" it's because they ship two different products, one for IE and one for Firefox/Chrome, so remove them both.

Unable to install EasyLink Internet Launchpad to my computer

I posted this on Amazon earlier, where people seemed to be trying to solve similar problems:

I followed all the tips here and on other sites to no avail. This AM, I finally found the problem: I had to update the flash/activeX plugins for Internet Explorer and then it worked.

I'm a Firefox user, and things were working fine until one day, mysteriously, I started to get this "Please install Flash Player 9 and ActiveX" message when we tried to launch the Easy Link software. I had Flash Player 10 on my PC, but I followed peoples' suggestions and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the browser plugins, etc. Nothing worked.

Then, thinking that ActiveX is something that helps a browser run content on a web page, I wondered if the missing ActiveX component that Easy Link was complaining about wasn't browser-specific. So I closed Firefox and Started Internet Explorer, updated the Flash Player from Adobe's website through that browser and Easy Link started working right away.

I suspect that at some point Vista did a software update (as it sometimes does) that included a new version of Internet Explorer. That version probably wasn't updated to the latest Flash plugin and started causing the problem with the Easy Link software. I didn't notice it of course because I don't use Internet Explorer. If anyone is still having the problem, I recommend opening Explorer, going to www.adobe.com and clicking the button that says "Get Adobe Flash Player". Worked for me (finally).

Flash player is browser specific too.. Just download flashplayer plugin and activex and shockwake installer. Install it and restart the system. (Browsers should be closed while installation)

Is your PC running with Win XP with Service Pack 2 or higher? Which browser do you use ( Internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox)
Check out the Add Remove Panel for the Latest installation of
1. Adobe Flash Player ActiveX
2. Adobe Flash Player Plugin

3. Adove Shockwave Player 11

Download it from this weblink: Flash Player

Also check this update for Microsoft

You need to uninstall Java and Adobe Flash Component from PC.

First, it is better to run in "Safe mode with Networking"; by pressing F8 key during Bootup.

After then, Uninstall Java, Then uninstall Adobe Flash component from the control Panel, then reboot PC.
Let me know after this if you are able to download and install the latest version of Java and Flash plugin from the link given:
Java Plugin
Flash Player .
And then reboot PC.
Let me know the status after it.
