The only DVD players that have coaxial inputs and outputs are Combo Sets with a tuner built in. If, for instance your DVD player were a combo VCR/DVD player, your VCR would have a tuner built in with it.

Your DVD lens needs to be changed.this can be done by a qualified techn.But before taking it to a techn.try inserting a lens cleaner.to see if that will corect the problem.
