High Flash Resolution

Everytime I take a picture with my D-550 I get photos with a very bright resolution. Especially outdoor photos.....it's almost as if the shutter is staying open too long. When I take picture outside, the photo looks like a flash of light. I even have my flash turned off. Pictures in a low light setting are fine. Any ideas?

You are shooting with the exposure bias set too far on the plus side, not familiar with the 550, do You have the user manual? If You look at exif data of posted photos, You will see that many are taken at settings below the midpoint. If You don't have a manual, go to the Olympus website, many manuals are available for download. You may also find the function in the menu based on sunny, cloudy, etc, this is important to set right
