I had a Sony F707 for quite a number of photos before buying an F717. I found the F717 to underexpose by about 0.3EV relative to the F707, pretty consistently, so I just set the EV compensation on the F717 to +0.3EV most of the time. The F717's color balances tend to be neutral to cool compared to the F707's very (generally overly) warm, bright colors. This is a plus: you can easily snap them up in post processing where the F707's results sometimes clipped a lot due to the oversaturation.
