Clutch burnt out
If you are under 25 years of age, I have a pretty good idea why that is......if not, and you are not a completely incompetent stick shift driver, then I would assume that there was something defective in the clutch or it wasn't properly installed. If this is in a new car, if there is a defective materials issue, warranty should cover it regardless of the fact that it is a clutch. But it may be hard to prove as defective.
