DYSON DC04 ROLLER WONT GO ROUND BUT THE BELT ISNT BROKEN the clutch is out this is a part that must be replaced by a vacuum shop as it requires special equipment.

Dc04belt not going round It is probably stretched and needs replaced. The belts are in the clutch, it is easier to install a whole new clutch

how do you replace carbon brushes ? I wouldn't waste your time these motors are well built but by the time the brushes need replacing other parts of the motor are worn out

I HAVE JUST REPLACED A MOTOR AND CLUTCH ON MY DYSON DC04 AND AFTER USE THE MOTOR HOUSING GETS VERY HOT.IS THIS NORMAL. It may mean the filters are clogged and should be replaced.
