The fastest I ever saw a Kenmore softener thrown in the dump was seven weeks old. This was at the owner's insistence; just wouldn't remove iron. He bought an Autotrol with a turbulator from me. This was about 15 years ago and it still works just fine. He had his first service call 2 years ago. I've always thought that quality was more important than price, but if you wish to install yourself I can come so close to the "sale" price of a Kenmore.

Kenmore Dryer model # 110.87081601
recently received the console control mojule(where the control button are). their parts person told me this probally was my problem. did not work. the dryer is making a clinking sound like a relay is not working. The cabnet control modjule pictured does not match the pictures on the parts list. the cabnet control modjule pictured does not have any relays nor does it have the higher voltage wires. the one not pictured does. would you say a clicking relay and no results might be the problem and if so, i probally need to call sears and talk with a supervisor? Or is there something else?

Hi kinetico are a powerless valve systems the fix is quoted wrong and any dealer isnt honest. There are levels of seals if one of them is worn out usually the chlorine deteriorate rubber seals on every brand . Take a look at the valve head top view you will see a philips screw turn it clockwise one position there is also a little red dot for guidance each turn will put the system in next regen cycle backwash rinse refill and in service if uour getting dome reaction as soon as tiurning screws your seals and if stuck in cycle and water pressure cant build ip in proper chamber it will not produce soft water unless seals are replaced replace the whole set sometimes they wont sell you parts unless uour trained kinetico the tubes inside are called risor tubes and ate cheap i would get a plumber to help you its not expensive for seal kits or risor tube its ok and when water taste like chlorine thats when carbon is done and can buy bulk on line
Culigan water filter uc-3a leaks at weep hole
A leak from the weep hole on a Culligan UC-3A Water Filter usually means the internal cartridge seal or housing O-rings are failing. The weep hole is designed to let water escape when an internal seal leaks, instead of letting pressure build inside the unit.
Most common causes:
Cartridge not fully seated
Damaged or dry O-rings
Cracked filter head/housing
Worn internal valve seal
Excessive water pressure
Things to try first:
Shut off water supply
Relieve pressure by opening the faucet.
Remove and reinstall the cartridge
Inspect for:
Torn O-rings
Debris on sealing surfaces
Cracks in cartridge neck
Lubricate O-rings lightly with food-grade silicone grease.
Inspect the housing carefully Look around:
Cartridge socket
Filter head
Area near the weep hole
Hairline cracks are common after freezing or overtightening.
Replace the cartridge A bad cartridge seal alone can cause weep-hole leakage.
Check water pressure If house pressure is very high (typically over 80 psi), the internal seals may leak. A pressure regulator may be needed.
If it still leaks after a new cartridge:
The filter head/internal valve assembly is likely damaged.
On many UC-series units, replacing the head assembly is more practical than repair.
Also check:
Whether the leak happens only during flow or continuously.
Only during flow ? sealing/pressure issue
Constant drip ? cracked housing or failed internal seal
If you want, send:
A photo of the leak area
Age of the unit
Whether the cartridge was recently changed
Exact leak behavior (steady drip vs only while running water)

Contact the maker of this mystery water bottle dispenser. It sounds like it needs replacing under warranty. However.....
SOLUTION by OP: there was a hairline crack that did not show up until the plastic water bottle was inverted & the pressure /exchange between both bottle & crock caused enough "pull" to cause spillover the top of the crock. I have a secondary polycarb bottle (3gal) which is working perfectly. Simple physics, once again..

To turn Distiller on or off, press the "Start/Stop" button. When turning Distiller on, "On" appears in the display window and the "On" (red) light illuminates (fig. B). After turning Distiller off, the "On" light turns off.
