Refurbished Lenovo w/MS Office 365 stuck in loop.

Hey Kevin! This loop is super frustrating, but let's break it down step by step. Refurbished devices often have quirks from prior setups-here's how I'd tackle it if you brought it into my shop: 1. Bypass the Loop with Safe Mode Force Restart: Mash the power button to shut down mid-loop. Do this 2-3 times until you see "Preparing Automatic Repair." Advanced Options ? Troubleshoot ? Startup Settings ? Restart. After reboot, press F4/F5 to boot into Safe Mode with Networking. In Safe Mode: Open Settings ? Accounts ? Sign-in Options. Disable PIN requirement (use "Password only" if prompted). Reboot normally. 2. Remove the Corrupted PIN Data If Safe Mode doesn't work: From the login screen, click the Power icon ? hold Shift and click Restart. Go to Troubleshoot ? Command Prompt. Run these commands: net user Administrator /active:yes shutdown -r Log into the new Administrator account (no password by default). Open Settings ? Accounts ? Other Users ? delete the problematic user profile. 3. Reset Microsoft Account Sync If linked to a Microsoft account: Boot into Safe Mode with Networking (Step 1). Go to Settings ? Accounts ? Your Info ? Sign in with a local account instead. Create a temporary local account to bypass Office 365/MS sync issues. 4. Wipe Office 365 Cache Corrupted Office files can trigger loops: In Safe Mode, press Win + R, type %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Licensing, and delete all files in the folder. Reboot. 5. Fresh Windows Install (Last Resort) If all else fails: Back up data via Safe Mode/USB drive. Create a Windows Media Tool (on another PC): https://www.microsoft.com/software-download Boot from USB, delete all partitions during setup, and install clean. Why This Happened Refurbished Lenovos often have leftover enterprise policies or incomplete resets. The PIN loop usually means Windows can't sync with Microsoft's servers (common with recycled Office 365 licenses). Pro Tip: If the laptop came with a "free" Office 365 license, it's likely tied to the original owner's account. Use the Administrator account to contact the refurbisher for a valid license key. Let me know if you hit a wall-happy to refine these steps! -Robert Cedar ' Owner, Geeks On Command Computer Repair P.S. If the laptop has a Lenovo Recovery Partition, try pressing F11 during boot to factory reset (but this may reinstall bloatware).

ISSUE: Reset Lenovo thinkpad SL400 to factory default?

there is no cure for BIOS locks. (by lenovo design rule #1) that way data can not be stolen. if you ask this is lenovo web support site they will answer you. and is asked there 10,000 times, and the answer never changes. even worse is bit-locker locked and with matching SED self encrptyed drives. (100% locked down LT) that business owners love. for a fact. used laptop 101: "LT" what you just did is 100% dead wrong. (now bios settings lost) shorting any EEPROM is evil to the max is that Reddit lies ? the only safe way is erase the HDD/SSD boot drive, ,heck all drives. then reload the unstated OS to the LT. if this is windows, well microsoft.com has the OS reset steps. billions read this page ever day at MS ? factory OS reset then there is answer 3., the Lenovo has a book as all LT have and the chapter covering this topic OS recovery. some LT have Install image on the HDD that reloads the unstated OS from scratch. some say its and option in their book and is true. only looking finds that. I guess you meant that BIOS ADMIN PASSWORDS ARE SET. AND BIOS IS NOW DEAD FOREVER.(PAGES) WHY NOT ASK THE MAKER FOR HELP FIRST AND NOT DO HACKING AS STEP 1.?????? https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewforum.php?f=46 I must worn you, many PC makers web sites forbid and delete all posts with BIOS Password hacks. of any kind,. by laws too in many countries. if the owner locked it , the only cure is ask the owner to unlock it. or tell the broker you want your money back. ADMIN locks are serious business now. this hacked only worked back in the early days of LT, say some 20 year old Toshiba, with the hidden mobo jumper that did infact reset it all desktops still have the jumpers, but not LT. your LT is 2009 made? has DVD drive so is old. Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 CPU at 2.26 GHz<< no good for w10/11 Q3 -2008 CPU. old. and slow. if it must be hacked just google forever, and even blow up chips hot wiring them in bogus ways. Lenovo Y550P stopped charging battery

Check the Power Adapter and Outlet: Ensure that the AC power adapter is securely connected to both your laptop and a functional power outlet. If your laptop has an AC power indicator light, make sure it's illuminated. If not, try a different wall outlet (avoid using a power bar) . Battery Charge Stops at 60%: If your battery charge stops at 55%-60% and shows a "plugged in, not charging" message, it might be due to a power management setting. Some Lenovo laptops have a feature that limits battery charging to extend battery life. To disable this: For models with Lenovo Energy Management, Lenovo Power Manager, OneKey Optimizer, Lenovo Settings, or Lenovo Vantage: Check if "Conservation Mode" is turned on. If so, turn it off. If the issue persists, try updating your laptop's BIOS: Go to the Lenovo support website, download the latest BIOS for your model, and install it. Reboot your PC and check if the problem is resolved. Hard Reset: Sometimes a hard reset can help resolve charging issues: Shut down your computer. Remove the battery (if detachable). Hold down the power button for 30 seconds (with the battery removed). Reattach the battery, plug in the AC adapter, and turn on the computer. The battery should start charging . If these steps don't solve the problem, there might be other causes.

How to connect an onn wireless mouse to a lenovo chromebook? i tried doing this 3 times and still wont connect.

Firstly, try turning over your Bluetooth mouse and find the power switch. Make sure it's turned to ON. You should see the optical light turn on (usually red). Place the mouse back flat on your mouse pad. On your Chromebook, select the lower right corner of the taskbar. In the window that pops up, select the Bluetooth icon. If the Bluetooth status is currently off, enable the toggle switch to enable Bluetooth. Once enabled, you'll see a scanning status as your Chromebook looks for active, nearby Bluetooth devices. When your wireless mouse appears, you can select it to pair and connect to it. Once your Chromebook has made its connection with your Bluetooth wireless mouse, you'll notice the mouse pointer moving when you move your mouse

Lenovo ThinkVision monitor T27h-2L not working with my Thinkpad P50 laptop. Monitor not detected. Just goes into Standby mode.

There could be several reasons why the Lenovo ThinkVision monitor T27h-2L is not working with the Thinkpad P50 laptop. Here are some possible solutions: 1. Check the connections: Make sure that the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the laptop and the monitor. Try using a different USB-C cable to see if that resolves the issue. Also, check if the USB-C port on your laptop is functioning properly. 2. Update drivers: Ensure that you have installed the latest drivers for both your laptop and monitor. You can download the latest drivers from Lenovo's website. 3. Change display settings: Sometimes, changing the display settings can help resolve issues with external monitors. Go to "Display Settings" on your laptop and select "Extend desktop" or "Duplicate desktop" to see if that helps. 4. Reset monitor settings: If none of the above solutions work, try resetting your monitor to its default settings. To do this, press the "Menu" button on your monitor and navigate to "Factory Reset." If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with either your laptop or monitor. In this case, you may need to contact Lenovo support for further assistance.

How do I factory reset my Lenovo think pad it doesn't have novo key

If your Lenovo ThinkPad doesn't have a Novo key, you can still perform a factory reset using the Windows installation media. However, please note that this process will erase all data on your computer, so make sure you have backed up any important files before proceeding. Here are the steps: Create a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) using another computer. You can download the Windows installation files from the Microsoft website and use the Windows Media Creation Tool to create the installation media. Insert the Windows installation media into your Lenovo ThinkPad and restart the computer. Press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the boot menu. Select the Windows installation media and press Enter. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows. When you reach the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen, select the partition that contains the current Windows installation and click "Delete." This will erase all data on the partition. Continue with the Windows installation process until it completes. When prompted, set up a new user account and password. Once Windows has finished installing, make sure to install all necessary drivers and software for your Lenovo ThinkPad. Note: If you don't have a valid Windows license key, you will need to purchase one before performing the factory reset.

User Profile Service service failed after factory reset and unable to access troubleshoot services: Windows 10

It seems that your computer is stuck in a boot loop and you are unable to access the troubleshoot services. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Disconnect all external devices from your computer, except for the keyboard and mouse, and restart the computer.
  2. If that does not work, try to access the Advanced Startup Options by holding down the shift key while clicking on the Restart option in the Start menu.
  3. If you are unable to access the Advanced Startup Options, you can try to create a Windows 10 installation media on a USB drive using another computer and then boot your computer from the USB drive.
  4. Once you are able to access the Advanced Startup Options, you can try using the Startup Repair tool to fix any issues with the boot process.
  5. If that does not work, you can try using the System Restore tool to restore your computer to an earlier point in time when it was working properly.
  6. If none of these steps work, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows on your computer.
It is also possible that there is a hardware issue causing the problem, in which case you may need to take your computer to a professional for repair.

Computer is doing something ive never experienced

There could be several reasons why your screen is freezing and the audio is cutting out while playing games. Some possible causes include:
  • Overheating: Make sure that your computer is properly ventilated and that the internal temperature is not too high. Clean the dust inside the computer and check if the fans are working properly.
  • Driver issues: Make sure that the graphics card and sound card drivers are up to date, and that they are compatible with the games you are playing.
  • Power supply: Make sure that your power supply unit is providing enough power to your computer.
  • Memory issues: Make sure that you have enough RAM, and that it is properly seated.
  • Virus or malware: Perform a full scan of your computer to check for any viruses or malware that may be causing the problem.
  • Hard disk: Check the health of your hard drive using diagnostic tools and make sure it's not failing.
  • Overclocking: If you have overclocked your PC, try to revert the clock speeds to default.
It's difficult to say exactly what the problem is without more information, but by checking these possible causes, you may be able to identify and fix the issue. If the problem persists, it would be best to contact the manufacturer's technical support for further assistance.
