How to unlock suitcase
Pain in the *** but these are simple three tumbler locks. I am assuming it is what you have. If you start at 000 and go up in increments of 1 you can probably get this in about an hour. Other than that a screwdriver will break it open if you pry in at the locking mechanism.

I want to set a combination for the lock
- Set the dials to 0-0-0. Find the lever or button next to the dials.
- 2If your lock has a lever, lower it and turn the dials to the desired numbers. Return the lever to its starting position.
- 3For locks with a button, push the button towards the dials and turn them to the desired numbers. Release the button.
- 4The lock is now set to the new combination

My husband and myself will be travelling to europe next year July-September and I would like to know what weight we can take in our luggage, luggage on the plane and what is not allowed overseas.
Your Airline will have this information on its website. The general guidelines are 50lbs for checked luggage, and 20lbs for cabin luggage, although Air Canada now just say your cabin baggage should be light enough that you can put it in an overhead bin unaided. You get one check bag free, but if you are flying business class, you get two checked bags. In addition you get one carry on bag and one item of 'personal luggage', a purse or laptop bag free of charge.
Your airline will tell you what you can and can't take on the plane and what must go in hold luggage and what can and can't go in cabin luggage. For instance all Lithium batteries and devices must go in your carry on baggage.
If you are American, your Second Amendment Rights are not eligible in Europe so leave your firearms at home. Prohibited items for specific countries can be found using Google

What kinds of briefcases are there?
Briefcases can be of three kinds:Portfolio: a handle-less case to be carried in the hand or under the arm.Folio case: a portfolio with a retractable handle.Attache' case: "a box-style case made of leather (occasionally aluminium), scrunched over a hinged frame that opens into two compartments. It was traditionally carried by an attache', a diplomatic officer attached to an embassy or consulate officially assigned to serve in a particular capacity. In recent years, leather pouches (usually slightly larger the size of standard paper, 8.5 x 11) with a zipper sealed compartment has been referred to as attache''s or poche document holders."
