the old free HP OS is now gone, new HDD is empty 100%
as is the old unstated RESTORE partition on old drive now GONE
leaving 2 choices
- buy the HP install media kit (best)
- or using MS disks , that will be missing hp drivers and all HP APPS
HP62 to tells us little to nothing that is not a full model number
so any help (accurate ) flies out the window, and not once did you name the OS that was there before the end play

g62-100 is one,
if you look on line it shows what you had if it is. 100
i came with Vista 32 or WIN7
what was yours.
if w7 here are the drives ,etc to make it like new if you MS sux disks.
