Upgrading the R610

It should fit, the R610 is SSI EEB v3.0 footprint (12" x 13"), while the Micro X6DVL-EG2 is 12" length x 10" width, so you should have no problem fitting the motherboard in that case.

R610 cpu compatibility

Hi Edward, This depends on the specs of the other mobo. You cannot damage the mobo or CPU by plugging it in and switching on, so the easiest way to test this would be to place it in the other mobo and switch on. If you see a display on-screen it means the processor is compatible with the mobo. Best wishes, Graeme.

First, is it clean, open case and check for dust. Clean fans , CPU , etc., if necessary. Open Task Manager , What is you Preformance, CPU % Memory %? What is running in Processes? Here is a little free program to adjust fans: http://www.filehippo.com/download_speccy/ The orange light is it the HDD led? You can use CCLEANER free: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/. You can clean the junk from your system and in TOOLS, STARTUP, Disable ALL unnessary programs from startup, that will speed up your system.

Hi how can i reset r610

The Fujitsu Siemens Celsius R610 desktop computer uses a Fujitsu D1357 motherboard. (S26361-D1357 actually)

http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/professionalpc/Celsius/R6xx/R6xx.htm#specs

On this page I would like you to go down to the heading - Motherboard, and click on the D1357 to the right.

A PDF file for the motherboard manual will download.

In Bookmarks click on the + sign to the left of -
Overview Board, Jumpers and Connectors.

In the drop down list click on -
Clear CMOS Jumper (J28)

Increase the view size so that you can see it clearly. Click on the + sign at the top of the PDF file.

1) Computer unplugged from power.

2) The jumper goes across the two pins of J28.

(By the default factory settings there is no jumper across these two pins. The jumper may be just sitting on one pin. Kept there to use for this function. {Clearing CMOS settings}
If no jumper is present see if you can borrow one off of a harddrive, etc. Be SURE to put it back on the device afterwards!)

3) Leave the jumper on the two pins for several seconds. I would wait at least five.

4) Remove the jumper. If it was present before, and sitting on just one pin, put it back.

5) Plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer on.

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

joecoolvette

The system re boots after

A critical file is corrupted. Since the reboot occurs after a few seconds then the file is a core file. In that case the only fix is to reinstall Windows. If you have important files you cannot afford to lose then use a Linux Live CD to copy them to a memory stick before reinstalling.

My celsius r610 hard drive

Yes I fear it is going to fail soon, I suggest you backup immediately, and prepare for failure, Drives should NOT make any noise at all, apart from the usual, soft whirring noises.
As I say if it is making Tapping noises that means the heads are crashing into the stops inside the HDD. That is indeed a sign of it's about to fail, especially if it has NEVER made this sound before. I would advise you to NOT use the PC, and do the backup as quickly as possible, you can then put the backed up data onto the new drive...
Good luck.
Please find below some links to assist you, in backing up and Cloning the new drive.for your convenience.
