The generic cartridge may have damaged the printhead. This means either service or replacement. I suggest contacting Epson to see if they have any reduced prices on replacement units - I suggest the C88+
Hi,
please power cycle your device (with a 30 second delay) and then check for the error again. If it occurs, then you would need to check the product manual troubleshooting section to identify the specific meaning of the error.
Thank you.
Paper jam problems can occur due to strayed, stuck bits of papers in pathway of paper tray, outlet, roller etc. I would recommend cleaning the paper inlet, outlet, and other possible areas to avoid a paper jam situation. I have observed that most people fan the paper pile to keep them dry or non-sticky. It's a wrong method because fanning the pile of papers make them go haywire and often lead to paper jam. The flashing lights are a "Maintenance request error" or a "Fatal error". Most of the time it is a "Maintenance request error" which means the waste ink pads need to be serviced. You can reset the waste ink counter but the ink pads will need to be serviced at some point.you can try following points.......1.turn off the machine for at least 5 minutes and disconnect the interface cable to the computer.2. push and hold down the "ink" button and the "paper" button and turn the printer on.3. When the "paper" light flashes quickly release both the buttons and then immediately press and hold down the "ink" button only for at least 10 seconds.**You will need to try this several times to get the sequence correctly. If you need any kind of technical assistance, you can contact support cell at http://vtechsquad.com/printer-support/
Question edited for a lot more clarity, add magic word.Question moved from Misc to maker category. In my opinion, not a cost effective repair, the heads are expensive and sold out. Troubleshooting Paper Reversal in Printers:
*Confirm that options related to paper handling are set correctly by checking for specific buttons or switches that relate to paper handling or reversing.
*Ensure that paper is loaded properly to avoid feeding problems.
*Remove any dust, particles, or paper remnants from the rollers, as they can impede paper flow.
*If other measures fail, reset the printer to its initial settings to resolve potential software glitches.

The error code 000101 on an Epson Workforce Pro C5790 printer typically indicates a problem with the print head.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Perform a print head cleaning: From the printer's control panel, navigate to the Maintenance menu and select the option to perform a print head cleaning. This will help to clear any clogged nozzles or debris that may be causing the error.
Perform a print head alignment: From the printer's control panel, navigate to the Maintenance menu and select the option to perform a print head alignment. This will help to ensure that the print head is properly aligned and is able to print correctly.
Check for any physical obstructions or debris in the print head area, if you find any, remove it carefully.
If the error persists after trying the above steps, you may need to replace the print head.
If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the printer has a more serious problem that requires professional service.
I recommend you to check the user manual or contact Epson technical support for further assistance and specific troubleshooting steps for your printer.
