Wiring new A/C

ok let me think a little about this, the reason the control box has wires to connect to the thermostat is because some how the power has to run through the thermostat so it can be controlled by it. as you know the thermostat is nothing more than a switch that gets activated by temperature. now lets figure this out. you say the box has only 3 wires, but in your description you mentioned 4. how many is in total?

Wiring new A/C

you should not have to run a double wire to the thermostat and the power supply. you should be able to come from the power supply and wire the supply and then the other to the t-stat but do get a second opinion. watch the color coded wires though manufacturers changed them to confuse the d i y er

Fan does not run motor just hums

The humming of the motor may mean either that the motor is in need of some oiling (as may be applicable, some A/C's do not include this option) or the motor is just about dead and in need of replacement. Your best and most logical action to take would be to get free estimates from local AC/HVAC contractors in your area who could iin the position to fix it for you (or whom you can rely on to get as much infromation as possible during the free-estimate consultation so as to apply the information for your own use). The rule of thumb is to get at least three estimates.

For your convenience, here is a handyman site that I came across, which has a section dedicated to air conditioning, where you'll find a text-link ad that offers up to Four (4) Free Estimates from such local contractors in your area (scroll down a bit and it's the text-link towards the middle of the page):
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Home_Improvement_Zone_Cooling_Ventilation_Systems_Central_Air_Conditioning.htm

Click on the "A/C Contractors" text link. Again, guessing on here is not as productive as getting a quote on the basis of a professional diagnosis from an expert upon which you can rely.

On hot day your unit may not cool enough. Make sure that outside unit is clean, filter inside should be clean. If all above is good your unit may be low on Freon.

I wish to know the proper propane connection as pressure, regulator is it required before connection at heater

I do not recommend someone to tamper with propane connections or regulators unless you are knowledgeable with it. Propane is a "very" powerful gas. Set up properly it is Great. But dangerous if done improperly. Call a professional for your safety.

Power surge now furnace does not work

Look to see if there is a spark clicking noise when you advance the thermostat. If not, the electronic control board is most likely the problem.

My 19 ft airstream's Penguin duo-therm a/c unit

If you have a heatpump model a/c unit, and it is blowing air that is hotter than the ambient temperature inside the airstream, then it is likely that your reversing valve is stuck in the open or closed position. A heatpump is basically an air conditioner that will also run in reverse (via the reversing valve) in order to heat instead of cool. The valve can get stuck for a variety of reasons, including; faulty wiring caused by rodents chewing or vibrations, insulators (dirt) between switch surfaces, or it could be a mechanical problem within the valve its self; these valves break often.
