When I insert a micro sd card on my lg envy 3 and try to save photos on it, it says save and restore default? I was wondering whether or not it will restore my whole phone to default or just my pictures?

If you use MP3 format on the disk it should work, format the SD disk 1st and then upload the MP3. I wouldn't use the wav files if that's the format your using. Give that a try

I work for vzw tech support and see this problem all the time. You need to make sure your file name is under 32 characters with no special characters (ie @$%/). you can rename ur files in music manager or in ur file folders and then sync to your phone. also, make sure your card is formatted to your phone. remember, if you format your card, it will erase everything on it, so be sure to have it backed up.

Here are the steps I took:

1. Insert the micro sd card with the metal plates facing you (that took me a second). Don't worry about the little push you have to give.
2. Go to the Settings & Tools option in the Menu.
3. Select *. Memory
4. Selct 3. Card Memory
5. Select Options while the bar is on "1. Memory Usage". The only option available to me was 1. Format and select that.
6. It will ask for the phone lock code-if you have never set it IT IS THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER.
7. The phone will format the card and put the file folders on it.
8. Use the adaptor USB reader or whatever you have to connect it to the computer. Copy songs to the my_music folder.

1. You should select the part of the song you like, and can add effects with this:http://www.mptrim.com/
2. To set it as a ringtone, send it as an attachments to you areacodeandyourphonenumber@vzwpix.com. It must be small to go through, around 30 seconds.
   
3. You will get a text message, and select options. Select Save As Ringtone.
