According to Dura products, all equipment and parts they manufacture are backed by a 24-month (2-year) warranty from the invoice or sales date, or up to 30 months from the manufacturing date.

Lock the shaft at the end where you electrical connections are made (disconnected of course!) and spin it off counterclockwise.

SOURCE: sta-rite dura glas pool pump not getting power after lightning

You need to start checking for power from the breakers to the timer to the sw to the back of the motor. With a lightning strike it could have fried any one of these itims or all or a wire first shut your breaker to the pump off and turn back on to be sure it resets. then go down the line checking the power for 220 all the way through if your not comfortable with elect. call an expert. But where your power stops is where your problem is, and rember threr can be more than one.

most of the time its the start capacitor or a dirty start switch. the start switch can be cleaned with the striker off a match book use CARE not to bend the switch , the switch is in contact when motor is starting and open when running... look for free pool pump motor testing in you area and see if they can test the cap for ya as it requires a special meter to do THE TEST RIGHT ! and you might need a shaft seal when all is done. good luck// jay the pool pump repair guy FLORIDA

SOURCE: Where can a find a

A new motor and pump parts (if needed) would be cheaper than a whole new pump. Your motor is part number UQS1152R or if you just want a single, high speed motor you could use USQ1152 to replace it. You will likely need a seal and seal insert as well; part number 100 (it may have letters in front like AS100, PS100, etc) and J3-2. A whole new pump you should shop for part #P2RA5YF-182L.

For a quote on the parts from us you can contact us using thru our website at www.arrowpools.net. Otherwise, google those numbers to locate your best deal.
