Message 'unable to create MSXML instance' appears even If I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated. I'm on windows XP

that's Microsoft XML instance...seems that perhaps your printer is having an interpretation issue? Does this happen all the time, or perhaps on only certain document print jobs?

First we need to know the operating system installed in the computer.

If you are using XP. Then perform the steps given in the webpage.

If the issue still persists then search for the file hpqscnvw.exe(scanning file) and then try to scan from there.

After careful research and reading about this problem and how others have handled it, it seems best to go back tot he source for the fix.Read it carefully and follow directions. Since I do not have any info on your PC or your Op sys, I cannot go any further with helping you, it seems pretty self explanatory however. If you have any problems, let us know.
