You posted under T103 Intermatic 120V timer.
Sounds like you wired the timer wrong:
Timer has 120V clock motor and requires Hot from breaker on terminal 1, and Neutral from breaker on terminal A. This will power clock motor.
If you have any of the wires reversed, timer will do what you describe.
