Your wireless Internet password is the encrypted security pass phrase that was set up when you installed your wireless router.

Your router allows you to access the Internet.
If you have access to more than one wireless network, you may need to remember multiple passwords.

If you happen to forget one password, you have two options: reset your password or locate the current password.

Windows 7 allows you to view the security characters of all your wireless network passwords.
Click the "Wi-Fi" network icon located on the Window's taskbar.


Right-click the name of your network's "SSID" name and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.


Click the "Security Tab." The network security key is now visible but unreadable.


Click the "Show Characters" check box and this will reveal your wireless password.

if you dont know tghe password you have to reset the password to its factory setting and that way the password gone also, at the back of the router there is small button for reset press that one and it will reset.

The security password is the password for the router,If you have forgotton the security password there is a reset button in the back of the router Press and Hold for 10-15 seconds/Then give it 1 minute to reboot. However this will reset the router to default settings so if it is secure it will be unsecure/ Here is a link to show you how to secure the Belkin router. Hope this helps

If you're trying to put a password/secure the Wireless network, then follow the steps:

>In the Router setup page, click on Wireless Settings.

>Enter the Security Key manually or enter the Phrase to generate the Security key automatically (only in WPA/WPA2) and save the settings.

For securing your router do the follwing:

1. Change your admin password on your router (you must setup a difficult password ... something like Admin015^^#2X)

2. Create Wireless Password using WPA or WPA 2 tehnology and setup a strong password.

3. Activate firewall on our router.

The password is not a preprinted password, it is a security password on your router. You need to log into the router and check your wireless security to see what you have used. If wireless security password is blank (use wap personal security), enter a password and then use the same for your computer when asked.

then check wi fi security and check encryption password .also check there is anyt MAC security enabled?

Which password do you ask? Router's password or wireless security password? For the router's password, by default it is admin in lower case. No username. If you are asking for the wireless security password, you need to login to the router's setup page and get the wireless password
