with zmodo DVR-H9118V I am having the same problem with a zmodo san8, did you ever find an answer? same here i accidentally turn off the power when i turn on there's no video at all and no beep sound.

Hoe do you turn off the zmodo 8 channel 960H DVR box off? And do you have to have a hard drive in it to watch the cameras not record just watch??
