Lots of things are retained by a metal ferrule when new but often they eventually fail to do the job properly or are lost or corroded away so they must be replaced by one of the huge variety of hose clips available today and/or one of the many sealers or adhesives also generally available.
In addition to those methods there is available the original - three or four turns of parcel wire and a twist to secure or a variation, using a modern nylon cable tie that is long enough to go around twice before tensioning. The parcel wire method can be very neat and further made more acceptable by covering with adhesive pvc tape.
If you have any doubts about your ability to make do and mend, I suggest you find a general auto repair shop that employs a greybeard...

thats the problem with sphygmomanometer, however you may try this. open the glass part then try to re align the hand of the manometer. this will then calibrate your manometer.

I think you mean a power transformer. The power requirements for your device is embossed near the power input jack. Usually 3v, 6v, 9v, or 12volt. You can usually find a variable or universal power adapter that has a variety of different input plugs and a switch that adjusts voltage to what you might need. You can find them in electronic stores, ebay, amazon, flea markets, or photo accessory areas in department stores. Some toy departments too.
